The National Centre for Infections in Cancer is a NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence run by the Deptartment of Infectious Diseases at the Peter Mac.

Infections are the leading cause of death and significant morbidity in cancer patients, next to cancer itself. The NCIC is the primary body, nationally, that is researching infections in cancer.
