Sensitive Santa returns to Northland for Christmas 2016
Families can once again celebrate the magic of Christmas at Northland Shopping Centre, as they offer Sensitive Santa. Sensitive Santa allows families with a child on the autism spectrum to have a photo with Santa without the common hustle and bustle and crowds. Families can book during certain times, which means no queues, and have their child or children photographed with Santa in an autism-friendly environment. One mother wrote, “We attended the sensitive Santa sitting with my autistic son and his two siblings this morning. It was wonderful. Santa was amazing. I really have to praise the centre for organising such events.”
Sensitive Santa will be offered this year in the centre’s brand new Santa Set the ‘Woodland Wonderland’. Children on the Autism Spectrum will have the opportunity to meet Santa and all his woodland companions before trade from 21 November – 4 December. Book in your 20 minute time slot below!
Northland is a continued sponsor of Amaze Victoria and in June 2014, partnered with the organisation to open Australia’s first shopping centre ‘Quiet Room’- a sensory soothing space for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Built entirely by Northland’s contractors and centre management volunteers, the pioneering ‘Quiet Room’ was introduced to give patrons caring for or afflicted by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) a positive shopping experience.
Please note: one booking per time slot, but this can include more than one child, eg. a whole family photo.
Photo prices as per normal photo sessions, please see Scene to Believe staff members for pricing.
