Share your story with memoir writing.

Would you like to share your story with family and friends or write it down for posterity? Memoir writing is an engaging way to reflect on and share your experiences.

Seniors 60+ can join Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW President, and editor of Unlocking the Writer Within, Colleen Parker to learn everything you need to share your story.

In this workshop you will learn how to set the scope of your story and choose what aspects to focus on, tips and exercises for recalling and writing your memories, and guidelines for structuring your memoir. Time for questions will be provided so you can request specific advice. Handouts will be provided for you take home and use as you continue working on your memoir.


About the Facilitator:

Colleen Parker writes short stories, essays, and articles and founded the Hurstville-based publishing house Parker Pattinson Publishing in 1998. She contributed to edited the respected resource Unlock the Writer Within for aspiring writers. She is currently the President of the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW. Age: Seniors 60+

Experience: None required

Equipment: Bring your favourite notepad and writing implement for exercises.
