Self-Care for Carers
Your wellbeing can take second place in a caring role–join this workshop to explore self-care strategies and make a plan that works for you.
2-hour, free workshop for mental health carers.
Often your own wellbeing takes second place when caring for someone. But looking after yourself is just as important.
In this free workshop, we’ll explore what self-care really means, why it matters and how to build simple habits that fit into your life. You’ll reflect on what works for you and what gets in the way of looking after yourself. We help you to create a self-care plan to support your wellbeing.
You’ll walk away with:
- an understanding of what self-care looks like for you
- practical ways to reduce stress and recharge
- a self-care plan you can start using
- useful resources and strategies to make self-care a regular habit.
Join us to explore simple ways to prioritise your own wellbeing—because caring for yourself helps you keep caring for others.
This session is designed specifically for family members, kin, young carers, friends and other individuals who support someone experiencing mental ill-health. We are a Queensland-based service.
