A pre-Christmas celebration of world-class bartending, award-winning cocktails, and pure “Suntory Time”. For one night only, Bar Selecta welcomes the 2025 Suntory Cup champions — Reuben Beasley-Palmer (Maison Bâtard) and Tom Smith (ex-Caretaker’s Cottage) — for an exclusive bar takeover. Expect five incredible cocktails, upbeat jazz + city pop, a Japanese-inspired listening bar atmosphere, and a rare pre-release tasting of TOKI Black for the first Club Suntory sign-ups. A night of talent, craft, community, and good times — Suntory style.

Reuben Beasley-Palmer — Maison Bâtard

Winner of the 2025 Suntory Cup, Reuben has built a reputation for elegant flavours, precise technique, and an intuitive approach to modern Japanese-inspired cocktails. His work at Maison Bâtard has made him one of Melbourne’s most exciting young talents, with a style that balances finesse, creativity, and drinkability.

Tom Smith — ex-Caretaker’s Cottage

Also a 2025 Suntory Cup winner, Tom is known for his disciplined, minimalist approach to cocktails and deep respect for classic builds. With years behind one of Australia’s most awarded bars, he brings a refined, detail-driven sensibility to every drink he creates.

Fumi Tamura — DJ & Owner, Tamura Sake Bar & Izakaya

Owner of Tamura Sake Bar & Izakaya by Tamura, DJ Fumi-san brings his signature blend of city pop, jazz, and vinyl groove — the perfect soundtrack to “Suntory Time”.
