Celebrate the winter solstice with a laid back afternoon of live, local music at the Maroochy Botanic Garden.

Seasonal Sessions is guaranteed to chill you out and warm you up!

Featuring:

Jack Raymond duo - Jack's voice wraps around the listener like an old friend, described as 'crackling of a campfire, boots on a gravel road, whisky meets ice'. Sharing his fresh 2024 release 'The Long Story Short', Jack's roots set will sing down the sun on the shortest day of the year.

Drew Wilson - Not afraid to blur genres, Drew is a singer-songwriter dabbling in folk-pop, pop-rock and alt-country.

Daryl James - A multi-instrumentalist fusing heavy blues with Celtic roots. Wielding a wild array of stringed instruments and custom foot percussion, many-a-tall-tale is sparked to life through his captivating live performances.

Gather your favourite friends, pack a picnic and soak in the ambience of the bushland in winter.

BYO picnic including chairs or rug, leaving only footprints and taking only memories (no rubbish bins provided).

Tickets strictly limited due to Botanic Garden carpark capacity.

$30 per vehicle (domestic vehibles only, covers all passengers, i.e. the more friends and family on board, the cheaper your per person price).

$10 active arrival per person (available if you walk, ride or arrange drop-off/pick-up).

Frequently asked questions

How many people does my vehicle ticket cover?

As long as all passengers are safely buckled in, your $30 vehicle ticket covers everyone in your ride. NB. Domestic vehicles only (8 seat maximum).

What if I don't drive - are there other ticket options available?

If you plan on coming by foot or bicycle, or can arrange a drop-off/pick-up lift, please select the $10 per person active arrival ticket option.

Can I bring children?

Yes, this is a family friendly event with activities available for children and space to run around. Children are included in the 'per vehicle' ticket, so if they're strapped in safely, bring them to the gig.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Use priority parking at the bottom of the Botanical Garden carpark. The event is located across the lagoon via compacted gravel pathways. If you have any concerns or require assistance, please contact the organisers.

Is there food or drink available to purchase?

No. Please bring your own food and water for this outdoor picnic-style event.

Can I bring alcohol?

Seasonal Sessions is a family-friendly event held in a public space, so please don't bring alcohol.

What if it rains?

If it's just a light sprinkle, please bring umbrellas and coats to keep comfortable. In the event of a deluge, organisers will postpone the event and inform ticketholders by email. If you can't make the new date, you can request a refund.

I booked a ticket and can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?

We get it, plans change. If you can no longer attend and make contact within 48hrs of the event you are eligible for a refund. Please note, the booking fee will be retained. Either send a request via your Eventbrite account or get in touch: evc@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au
