Screen Well webinar series - 'Crew Well' session
Event Information
About this Event
This session is customised to help support the wellbeing issues facing all of the diverse technicians and crew members that work in the Australian screen sector - from unit to production , art department to lighting, and all in between.
Many crew members experience high levels of stress from working long hours, often on location away from family & friends, in a cut-throat industry with shrinking wages, inconsistent work, demanding requests, explosive personalities, constant change and uncertainty.
For too long, conversations about wellbeing in our workplaces and among our colleagues have been missing. This session aims to provide information, support and skills that will help you navigate the stresses of your work life with more ease, assisting you to strengthen your personal wellbeing, as well as look out for your peers who might be struggling.
Partners: MEAA Crew branch, Australian Production Design Guild, Australian Screen Sound Guild
Panellists: Dr Julie Crabtree - psychologist and author, Monica Davidson creative business advisor. Session moderated by filmmaker Ben Steel.
Attendees are not required to publicly share their personal experiences during the session.

The event builds on the highly successful Wellness Roadshow designed in collaboration with Film Art Media and Impact Producer, Diana Fisk which has rolled out nationally since the release of The Show Must Go On documentary in October 2019.
