SCMF - Instrument Exhibition & Violin-Making Presentation by Blade
This is a unique opportunity for everyone to discover the artistry behind the instruments that shape our chamber music tradition.
Proudly Supported By The Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust (AETT)
With Additional Support From Northern Beaches Council (Pittwater)
Join the Sydney Chamber Music Festivals Exhibition & Presentation!
Throughout the festival weekend, Blade Strings will host a boutique exhibition of fine instruments and bows, offering festival audiences the rare chance to explore high-quality craftsmanship up close. Musicians are warmly invited to have their own instruments assessed by Sam Blade during the exhibition.
A special highlight of the weekend will be the Sunday presentation from 11:00am to 12:00pm, where master luthier Sam Blade will speak on violin making, history, craftsmanship, and sound. A professional musician will demonstrate a selection of exceptional instruments, and we are working on the exciting possibility of including a truly remarkable violin — to be confirmed closer to the date.
This is a unique opportunity for musicians, students, families, and music lovers to discover the artistry behind the instruments that shape our chamber music tradition.
