School Holidays @ Rockdale Library - Float Your Boat Workshop (K-Y6)
Overview
Students will be challenged to make a seaworthy vessel with materials that have been reclaimed from landfill. Students will have to make informed guesses about which materials will sink, float, or take on water. Students will work individually to make their vessel, and work in small groups to test their sea worthiness by trying to float them in a small tub of water. Before testing, students will make a prediction as to which boats will sink and which will float.
Bookings for this event open at 9AM on Monday 5th January. Other school holiday events will be available to book in the following weeks.
