Let your imagination fly in virtual reality!

About this Event

If you're interested in either music, technology and designing planes and are in Years 5-9, this one-day workshop is for you!

Held at the Conservatorium of Music, this school holiday program will feature a jam packed schedule of exciting and innovative workshop activities led by the University of Newcastle's School of Creative Industries lecturers.

You will:

• Learn how to produce your own music for social media

• Explore the world of Virtual Reality and learn how to record a video in 360

• Learn the various design methods of making planes

The end result will be a fun and playful 360 VR recording, which students, family and friends will be able to view in VR after the workshop.

Age Group: This workshop is suitable for students in Year 5 - Year 9.

Skill requirement: A passion for music, virtual reality, technology and designing planes is essential but there is no formal skill requirement for this workshop. If you play an instrument, please be sure to bring it with you!

What to bring: Please bring your own lunch and water bottle, morning tea is supplied.

Please note, social distancing will be practised during all workshop sessions, and groups will be no larger than ten students, per group.
