School Holiday Program- From Scratch: A Farm Kitchen Experience
A permaculture based gardening and farm education program for children aged 4-17 years
School Holiday Program-
๐๐ธ From Scratch: A Farm Kitchen Experience ๐โจ
Invite your child to step into the joyful rhythm of homestead life โ where bread rises slowly, butter is churned by hand, and the farmyard is alive with new life. A wholesome, hands-on workshop celebrating the abundance of the season. ๐ฟ๐ผ
In this hands-on workshop, children will:
๐ฅ Mix their own sourdough dough to take home and bake with their family.
๐ Score and bake a golden sourdough loaf together in our bush kitchen.
๐ง Churn fresh cream into butter and spread it onto warm bread, enjoyed under the summer sunshine.
๐น Make and share a refreshing glass of farm-made lemonade, flavoured with herbs and edible flowers from the garden.
Children will also have the opportunity to-
๐ Cuddle and play with our baby goats, full of cheeky leaps and snuggles.
๐ Hold and stroke our soft, friendly bunnies, learning how to handle them with care.
๐ฆ Visit the ducks and quails, discovering the different eggs they give us.
๐ฃ And if we are lucky, peek at freshly hatched chicks or ducklings, and see new life on the farm.
Every child takes home:
โข A sourdough dough to bake and share with their family ๐งก
โข The memory of hand-churning butter, just like on the old homesteads ๐พ
