This program is fully booked. Please register to join the waitlist and we will contact you if a place becomes available. Learn your Queen’s Gambit from your Sicilian Defence at our school holiday workshop, taught by experienced instructors from PlantChess Coaching.With two workshops available (Beginners and Intermediate/Advanced), participants will have the opportunity to learn more about chess strategies for their level.They will also enjoy one-on-one games with other students to further develop their skills while being supported by expert instructors. Spaces are limited, so bookings are essential. Cost: FreeAge: 8-17 yearsEquipment: All materials and equipment will be provided.Experience: No experience required. About the FacilitatorsPlant Chess Coaching is run by John-Stuart Plant, one of Australia's top chess players. With over a decade of experience teaching school students of all ages and abilities, John-Stuart has a unique gift for fostering a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring every class is fun and engaging for all students. Accessibility Information:Georges River Libraries is committed to providing inclusive library services and programs. Please email library@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au or note down your requirements or support needs in your event registration. Terms and conditions:<ul><li>For participants aged 12 years and under, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program. For safety reasons, one parent/guardian can only be responsible for a maximum of 4 children (1:4 ratio).</li><li>For participants under the age of 16, parent and/or guardian contact details must be provided at the time of booking.</li><li>If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.</li><li>If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.</li></ul>
