Scams are becoming more common — and more convincing. This practical, easy‑to‑follow session will help you recognise warning signs, protect your personal information, and know what to do when something doesn’t feel right.

What you’ll learn

  • How to spot red flags in phone calls, text messages, emails and online ads
  • What scammers are trying to get from you — and how they do it
  • What to do (and what not to do) if you receive a suspicious message
  • Where to get help and how to report scams safely

You’re encouraged to bring your smartphone, tablet or laptop so you can follow along and practice on your own device. Support will be available throughout the session.

This session is presented by Cameron Kelly, NBN® Community Engagement Specialist, who works closely with communities to build understanding of the NBN network, improve digital capability, and support people to stay safe and confident online.
