Overview

Join us for a fun and engaging multi‑week Scale Modelling Workshop Series, perfect for beginners and hobbyists alike!

Across four hands-on sessions, participants will learn:

Core Skills

  • How to prepare your model
  • Safe and effective use of modelling tools
  • Foundational painting techniques for smooth, clean finishes

Intermediate Techniques

  • Dry brushing
  • Detailing and weathering basics
  • Tips to bring models to life with texture and depth

In the final session, participants are invited to present their completed models in a friendly showcase and judging event. Celebrate your progress, share your work, and enjoy seeing the creativity of others!

Whether you’re trying modelling for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop offers a welcoming environment, expert guidance, and plenty of fun.

OPTIONAL: 20th March - 3D printer training

As an optional extra, participants are also invited to attend a 3D Printing Basics Session on 20th March at 4:30pm, where you’ll learn how to use our Elegoo filament-based 3D printer. This hands-on introduction covers everything from slicing and preparing your files to setting up and completing a print. Once you’ve finished the session, you’ll be signed off to use the 3D printer at the Hub for your own future projects, giving you even more creative freedom throughout the workshop and beyond.
