About this event

Come along to Moruya Library for our monthly Saturday Matinee Movie.

Our movie for July stars James Stewart in a classic comedy adapted from a Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Stewart, who played the role of Earnest P Dowds on Broadway, was the natural choice for the film version. In later life he identified the character of Dowds as a personal favourite.

The film is a comedy of errors, telling the story of a good-natured man whose modest outlook wins the hearts of many he encounters. The all-star cast includes support from Jesse White, Cecil Kellaway and acclaimed stage actress Josephine Hull, who was awarded an Academy Award for her performance.

Enjoy the film, light refreshments, and a chat. Due to licensing restrictions, we cannot advertise the movie name, but you can always ask our friendly library staff for more information.

Free session. Eventbrite bookings essential.
