The Salt March 2026 is a joyful celebration where people of all abilities can come together for a safe, accessible, and genuinely welcoming day out at one of Melbourne’s most iconic destinations — Luna Park.

This is not a traditional “march.” Instead, it’s about arriving however you’re able and enjoying an afternoon filled with connection, laughter, and shared joy in a space designed to support and celebrate the disability community.

🎢 Exclusive access to rides and attractions

Luna Park will open exclusively for Salt March attendees, creating a calmer and more comfortable environment with at least five rides operating. Reduced crowds, noise, and queues make the experience more accessible for people with sensory sensitivities or mobility needs.

🌈 Designed for all abilities

The event is intentionally inclusive and disability-friendly. With accessibility support provided by Luna Park, the day is designed to feel safe, welcoming, and supportive for everyone — whether you’re an NDIS participant, family member, carer, or support worker.

🤝 A community that celebrates you

Spend the afternoon alongside NDIS participants, families, carers, support workers, and disability organisations. It’s a chance to connect, make memories, and be part of a community that truly understands and values disability inclusion.

There’s no physical endurance required. The focus is on enjoying the destination, the rides, and the atmosphere — at your own pace and in a way that feels right for you.

Inspired by Gandhi’s historic Salt March, this modern-day Salt March stands for fairness, inclusion, and advocacy. Hosted by The SALT Foundation, the event celebrates the value, dignity, and place of people living with disability under the NDIS — and the power of community when we come together.
