safeTALK is a half-day alertness workshop that prepares anyone, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.
In this workshop you will learn the skill of how to support friends, loved ones and members of the community who might be thinking of suicide. How to talk with them about this and how to connect them to the supports they need. The project has been funded by the Suicide Prevention Coordinators at Neami and is a partnership between TransFolk of WA, PFLAG Perth and Connection And Wellbeing Australia- CAWA (who will be providing the training and doing all project planning and reporting).
This workshop is for volunteers and members of PFLAG Perth and other family, friends and loved ones of Transgender and Gender Diverse People. (30 people max)
