Event description
If you belong to a Catholic entity with governance of overseas ministries, your responsibility for safeguarding doesn’t end in Australia!

About this Event

Under the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards, Catholic entities have a responsibility to ensure that safeguarding practices exist not only in communities within Australia, but also Catholic ministries (where you have governance) internationally.

National Catholic Safeguarding Standards 1.3.2:

Where the Church Authority’s governance includes countries other than Australia, the entity must apply these Standards taking into account relevant international declarations and local legislation.

This Safeguarding in International Contexts webinar is designed to help Catholic entities understand the 10 National Catholic Safeguarding Standards and consider how you can apply these Standards to your missions overseas.

• Explore strategies for applying safeguarding principles in international contexts.
