About this event

  • 21 hours

Part of the Safe Together coach development program this event is for new coaches and those from previous workshops to expand the Safe Together program and support young people in Ballajurra and other parts of WA using the sport of wrestling!

The Safe Together program uses the sport of wrestling (specifically Beach Wrestling) to communicate important skills such as Community connections, Acceptance, Resilience and Critical thinking to support vunerable and at risk youth.

On this program you'll learn the game, explore the program, work with experienced coaches and government stakeholders to be able to deliver the program and establish your own team in your community to help young people who are struggling.

You will also be supported with ongoing training and events as well as developing your own professional support network!

The program is supported by the Safe and together Community Grant program of the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
