Got an idea for a community event or festival? This series of event management workshops will help bring your event to life.

Would you like to develop skills to assist with the development and management of your event? Come along to this interactive workshop full of simple tools and principles to help you develop an Event Plan.

The series of three Event Management Workshops will be presented by Emily O’Brien from Elucidate, one of Australia’s leading teachers of Event, Risk and Safety Plans. Emily has 20 years of experience as a practising Production and Risk Manager with 'First In Last Out'.

The first workshop on Event Planning, will step participants through the basics and principles on creating an Event Management Plan.

Topics covered:

  • What is an Event Plan?
  • Understanding what to include in an Event Plan
  • Venue selection & consideration of dates
  • Who is your target audience?
  • How to promote your event
  • Event delivery procedures
  • Budget management / Cash flow / Income streams
  • Ticketing
  • Permits / Approvals – Event, POPE, other stakeholders
  • How to create an Event Plan
  • Templates to use in your application

Refreshments available on arrival.

Please notify events@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au if you are no longer able to join session so we can reallocate your ticket to another participant.
