About this event

You will learn the science behind building a growth mindset, why it makes all the difference and how to apply it to athletic performance.

Through practical exercises and real-world examples, this workshop will help you to shift your mindset for optimal performance and to create training and performance environments that support this. You will leave with a tailored plan to build your performance mindset, including the role of beliefs, motivation, challenges, failure and feedback.

This session is facilitated by Michael Inglis, Sport & Performance Psychologist and co-founder of The Mind Room, Collingwood.

Michael Inglis, Sport & Performance Psychologist

Michael is an endorsed and accredited Sport, Performance and Exercise Psychologist and has been working in the mental health field since 1999. Michael leads The Mind Room’s Sport & Performance team.

He believes in a holistic approach to performance and that the wellbeing of athletes off-the-field is just as important as their performance on-the-field. He works with athletes, coaches and teams to build and enhance performance, wellbeing and leadership skills.

Some of the teams Michael has worked with include Holden Cycling Womens’ team, North Melbourne Football Club and Melbourne Rebels. He is a keen cyclist and father to three active boys.
