Winter in Ross isn’t about hibernating — it’s about rugging up trees.
Visitors are invited to enjoy a relaxed, self-guided knitting session, contributing a few stitches (or a little more) to help wrap Ross’ historic elm trees in woolly layers. Whether you arrive with a friend to knit and natter or prefer a quiet moment on your own, this is a simple, welcoming way to slow down and take part in a shared winter ritual.
Pop by and add your own rows to some perfectly unnecessary winter warmth. Stay for as long or as little as you like — there’s no pressure and all skill levels are welcome.
Redeemable dates: 1 June – 31 August 2025
Cost: Free
If you’re unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so your place can be offered to others.
Part art, part community mischief — very Ross, very winter.
