About this event

On behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Amit Chakma, it is my pleasure to invite you to a private Roundtable Lunch discussion with Ukraine’s newly installed Ambassador to Australia His Excellency Vasyl Myroshnychenko.

Ambassador Myroshnychenko joined Ukraine's foreign service after two decades helping international clients develop solid relationships with the stakeholders in the government, civil society and local community in Ukraine. Ambassador Myroshnychenko is focussed on enhancing Ukraine-Australia bilateral relations through military cooperation, trade and investment, culture, education and tourism.

Ambassador Myroshnychenko will discuss his reflections on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the reaction of the international community, and Australia-Ukraine relations.

While this event will inevitably have considerable focus on the current situation in Ukraine, Ambassador Myroshnychenko is also interested in exploring how Western Australia and Ukraine might work together more closely in a post-war reconstruction phase, and over the long term through increased bilateral trade and investment.

This event is an invitation only, lunch meeting in the Senate Room, The University of Western Australia.
