About this Event
ANZAC Day holds a special place on the Rottnest Island calendar. With a long military history, we commemorate all Australians who have served and continue to serve our great nation.
Join us to reflect and mark this important day of remembrance on the eve of ANZAC Day as the sun sets.
Everyone is welcome to attend the dusk service, however you must book your ticket to attend as capacity is strictly limited.
An ANZAC Day dawn service will also be held on Sunday 25 April at 6am. For further information, or to register to attend this event visit rottnestisland.com/anzacday

5.45pm Dusk Service on the Thomson Bay foreshore lawn
An opportunity to pay your respects on the eve of ANZAC Day, with a service conducted as the sun sets over the island.
Explore the History of Rottnest
In recognition of the day, we invite you to arrive early to learn more about the history of Rottnest Island, including its pivotal role in WWI and WWII military operations. Join a guided tour with one of our knowledgeable Rottnest Volunteer Guides or check out the newly re-opened Wadjemup Museum.
Ferry Travel
Ferry services depart all day from Fremantle and Hillarys to get you to the Island.
Ferry tickets to Rottnest Island are not included, so don't forget to book your tickets now with Rottnest Express, SeaLink Rottnest Island or Rottnest Fast Ferries.
COVID Safe Event
This year, we’ve made some changes to ensure the health and safety of all attendees at this event and have developed an in-depth COVID Event Plan in consultation with the WA Department of Health. If you have attended the service previously, please note that registration is required for this year’s services.
To assist with managing the capacity of the services, please ensure you register all members of your party - adults and children - and that every household is registered individually.
