Get ready to learn the ins and outs of safe manual handling techniques and hoists in a practical skills coaching session!

This session is facilitated by a registered nurse and designed to enhance the health literacy of carers to support care recipients with safe manual handling and effective use of hoists to ensure the safety and comfort of care recipients and care givers.

After completing this session participants should be able to:

• Examine safe manual handling techniques, including proper body mechanics that minimise the risk of injury.
• Examine procedures for safely setting up and operating a hoist and adhering to the manufacturer’s guidelines
