Event description

Description

We invite you to contribute to the second edition of the roadmap looking at the impact of robotics and related technologies on the Resources sector (including both mining and energy) in Australia. Click here for the first edition Robotics Road Map for Australia 2018

A series of workshops will be held across the country to progress the second edition of the Robotics Roadmap for Australia covering areas of national significance to Australia; resources, manufacturing, healthcare, services, defence, infrastructure, agriculture/environment, space and transport/mobility. Until the first edition of the robotics roadmap, little was known about Australia’s robotics industries. As robotics and related technologies mature, it is critical to understand and plan for the impact, challenges and the benefits they pose to our nation.

Each workshop aims to:
1) Demonstrate existing capability and future possibilities of these disruptive technologies in each sector;
2) Identify existing use cases of robotics in the sector and identify where Australia has a competitive advantage; and
3) develop a vision for what a successful robotics industry in Australia would look like and how this will impact on each sector.

The workshop will include leaders in Australian academia, industry, and government and will be highly focused and outcomes orientated. Brainstorming sessions will focus on the application of robotics to each sector, identifying (a) core competency areas for research and development; (b) new application areas that will maximise socio-economic impact; and (c) future workforce requirements.

The agenda will be confirmed after you RSVP.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Sue, Lauren, Lina, Thierry, & Paul.
