Join Museums Victoria at Mornington Community House these school holidays!
In this fun and hands-on introductory workshop , you can explore how simple programs control complex machines. Discover how robots move, sense and respond their environment using mBot robots and iPads.
Working in pairs with a parent/carer, children will write instructions for their robot using block-based programming language, and use STEM skills such as problem solving, creativity and innovation to overcome a series of challenges. Can you program a self-driving car? Or dancing party robot? Or a sneaky snooping robot?
This workshop is the perfect way to step into the exciting world of robotics and coding, and and explore future STEM careers.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 8-13 years. Please note that each child must be accompanied by a parent or carer for the duration of this workshop.
This workshop will be held in The Studio @ Mornington Community House, located at 91 Wilsons Road, Mornington (located just next door to Mornington Community House). For the easiest entry, The Studio is the first building on your left when you enter the shared community hub carpark on the corner of Wilsons Road and Nepean Highway. Mornington Community House staff will on hand to assist anyone who is lost or confused!
