Winter 2026 School Holiday events and activities

Leave the school holiday fun to us! School holidays with Frankston City Libraries are always jam packed with free events for school aged children. Join us at Carrum Downs, Seaford, Karingal, Frankston South, Frankston North and Frankston for lots of fun!

For kids aged 9-12 years old. In this hands-on program, young participants explore coding and robotics through games, creative challenges, and free play. They will experiment with sensors, simple electronics, and how computers work, all while building confidence with digital technology.Along the way, they will:

Spot patterns and create their own

Write simple step-by-step instructions for robots to follow

Use directions like forward and backward, and practise ordering steps

Break big problems into smaller, manageable parts

Test ideas, learn from mistakes, and try again

It is a fun and supportive space where curiosity leads the way and essential coding skills grow naturally. Please book a ticket for all children participating - no need to book for the accompanying adult. Frankston City Libraries is proud to be able to provide workshops, information sessions and events FREE of charge to the community. Help us make this event a success by committing only if you can attend. If plans change, please cancel promptly to support our authors/facilitators in preparing for your participation. This will support the ongoing delivery of our programs. Thank you!
