RoboCup 2019: Talks
Description
Discover how the rise of robots will impact our everyday lives.
The word Robot is derived from the Czech, robota, meaning ’forced labour’. In the 1920s when the word was coined, the notion of machines living alongside humans was entirely science fiction. But anyone with a smart watch, a phone that talks back, or a fridge that can buy its own milk knows that times have changed.
To explore the rise of robot technology, the UNSW Centre for Ideas presents a series of talks with leading experts as part of the RoboCup 2019.
This event series is a part of the UNSW Grand Challenge: Living with 21st Century Technology.
