RGK Wheelchair Training - Made to Measure with Sunrise Medical
Join us for a hands-on RGK wheelchair training exploring custom measurements, setup and smarter prescription for better client outcomes.
Country Care Group Albury invites you to an in-depth clinical workshop exploring the art and science of truly customised wheelchair prescription with RGK.
This engaging 3.5-hour session is designed for Allied Health Professionals looking to strengthen their knowledge of bespoke manual wheelchair configuration and prescription accuracy. The workshop will explore how precise measurements, biomechanics, and CAD technology come together to create a wheelchair that is truly made to measure.
Presented by Dale Evans from Sunrise Medical, this interactive session will provide both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical insight to support improved client outcomes and long-term independence.
What You'll Learn:
- Understand the range of wheelchairs available through RGK and where each model fits clinically.
- Learn how seat position, camber, frame geometry, and centre of gravity influence propulsion efficiency, performance, and stability.
- Discover how individualised measurements directly impact long-term function, posture, and independence.
- Identify and accurately interpret the critical measurements required for precise wheelchair prescription, including:
• Seat width
• Seat depth
• Front and rear seat height
• Backrest angle - Understand how CAD technology translates clinical measurements into an accurate wheelchair design, reducing the risk of incorrect prescription when exact configurations cannot be trialled.
