Restorative Yoga poses are held for a longer period of time and the body is supported by props such as cushions and blankets to allow the muscles and joints release into each pose. The poses are held for 5 minutes or more and include forward bends, light backward bends and gentle twists. I will be drawing on my experience of Iyengar Yoga to guide you through the practice.
Experience relaxation, wellness, and an inner healing through the tantric practice Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra means psychic sleep and it is a progressive relaxation where the body is at complete rest and the mind remains alert, guided into the deeper aspects of the mind. This practice can be used therapeutically for stress, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia.
What to have with you for the session:
Yoga Mat
Strap or scarf
Yoga Block (optional)
Chair
Blanket, one for underneath you, one to keep warm and if you have a thick blanket to use as a prop
Cushions, Pillows and Bolster if you have one
Water
Register through Eventbrite, details will be sent to you after you have booked in.
