The headspace University Support Program is hosting a short, practical workshop to build the capacity of universities to respond to the suicide of a student by offering a facilitated opportunity to consider the Responding to suicide: a toolkit to support Australian Universities in practice.

This workshop will:

  • Introduce you to the university toolkit for responding to suicide, as one of the tools available to facilitate a best-practice approach to supporting your university following exposure to a suicide,
  • Provide information regarding the practical steps required to support your university in the immediate, short-term, and longer-term phases of a postvention response, and
  • Offer an opportunity to consider the nuanced application of the toolkit to meet the unique needs of universities.
