Recognize when healthy sexual behaviour becomes problematic and/or harmful using a complex trauma lens, review practical management actions.
The workshop will support Queensland Department of Education North Coast Region school or regional staff to explore the common reasons for harmful sexual behaviours and myths regarding such behaviours, within the lens of complex developmental trauma. Practical suggestions for responding to these behaviours will be discussed including support and supervision plans, responding effectively when observing problematic or harmful sexual behaviours, and responding when a young person discloses sexual abuse.
This workshop is hosted by the NCR Principal Advisor Mental Health Lydia Najlepszy and facilitated by Senior Psychologist Warren Bergh Evolve Therapeutic Services (ETS). Warren Bergh is the Team Leader and State-wide Program Coordinator for ETS, Child Youth Mental Health Services, Queensland Health.
