Reset + Restore Day Retreat: Yoga, Sound Meditation + Tactile Meditation
Event Information
About this Event
This day is all about looking after you.
A chance to nurture yourself, to slow down, peel away some layers of stress, calm the nervous system, and leave feeling restored, re-energised and ready to head into the silly season and beyond. You will also take with you a beautiful new technique for bringing moments of calm into your everyday.
Hosted in Bangalow's beautiful, light filled Yogalates Studio, your day will start with a Yin Yoga class, with Yoga instructor, Elodie Rodde. Elodie has been facilitating yoga classes for almost 20 years after gaining her certificate in Hatha Yoga under Swami Sarasvati and training in Baptiste Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar Yoga and Anusara Yoga.
This class is suitable for all levels. Equipment required for this class can be provided, however, for Covid safety, we encourage you to bring what you can ( a mat, bolster, 2 blocks, eye pillow, a sarong or blanket).
This will be followed with a Crystal Bowl Sound Meditation Journey with Energetic Healer and Empowerment Facilitator Kerry Louise Brown. Kerry is a local legend, known for her beautiful, down to earth nature and powerful, intuitive healing energy.
After lunch, Kelly Evans from Ecosophy Sustainable Arts will guide you through a basket coiling technique, with a focus on learning this relaxing, repetitive process as a form of tactile meditation. Tactile meditation focuses on slow, repetitive hand motion as a powerful way to reduce stress, calm the nervous system and improve focus and clarity. The bonus is that you get to make something beautiful. Kelly has been an educator and workshop facilitator for over 25 years and a creative for as long as she can remember.
All materials will be provided and you will take home additional raffia to continue your practice.
A delicious, plant based lunch and afternoon will be provided, catered by Danie from Byron Fine Events. Tea and water will be available all day.
To make this a safe and sustainable event, we suggest that you please bring your own mug, water bottle, plate and fork.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
