Research Skills Seminar Series 2020 | Research Education Program

Facilitating health research projects by busy students, and staff from any clinical background (e.g. medical, nursing, allied health, pharmacy, laboratory etc.)


Research Fundamentals: Question and Protocol Development

Seminar Synopsis:

Do you have an idea for a research project? Could you use some help to turn an idea into a clear research question or into a protocol?

This practical introduction to research has a major focus on developing ideas into a clear question, and putting together a high quality research protocol. It also covers why we do research, the steps in the research pathway, and researcher responsibilities.

Presenter: Assoc. Prof Sue Skull

A/Prof Sue Skull is based at Perth Children’s Hospital, where she is Deputy Director of the Department of Child Health Research and Head of the Research Education Program. She holds positions as a Consultant Paediatrician and Clinical Associate Professor, UWA School of Paediatrics and Child Health. She remains actively involved in teaching research methods and enjoys helping others improve and enjoy their research experience.
