About this event

This is a Sexual Violence Awareness Month Event open to UQ students and staff.

**Trigger warning - Please note that this covers topics related to sexual misconduct. We appreciate that not everyone will feel comfortable participating in this discussion and encourage students and staff to reflect personally before choosing to attend.

A lack of knowledge of the Police reporting process can often be a barrier to survivors of sexual violence reporting their experience. In this workshop your will hear from a female detective on the Police reporting options and details of the process for survivors.

There will also be a Mobile Police Beat set up across from the event staffed by LGBTI liaison officers and officers from culturally diverse backgrounds. Please feel free to stop and have a chat with an officer. The Mobile Police Beat will be set up at various times in different locations on St Lucia campus throughout the month providing students and staff the opportunity to speak to officers about any matters . Further details are on the Sexual Violence Awareness Month website and via UQLife social media.
