Event description

Description

Refugees and asylum seekers face a number of social, legal and economic barriers when accessing higher education in Australia. Meet our panel of experts, Mary Anne Kenny and Caroline Fleay, and join in this discussion.

They will examine the importance of access to higher education in this context, and the social and community benefits brought by the inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers on campus.

Mary Anne Kenny is an expert in refugee law and is an Associate Professor in the School of Law at Murdoch University. Dr Caroline Fleay is from the Centre for Human Rights Education at Curtin University.

Tickets for this lecture are free, but please RSVP to secure your place.
