Overview

Referencing and academic integrity are essential skills for success at university.

In this workshop, you’ll explore what academic integrity means in practice, how to avoid common mistakes, and the difference between poor academic practice and academic misconduct. You’ll learn why referencing matters, when to reference, and how to do it correctly using different styles. We will also introduce tools like Turnitin and EndNote to help you manage sources, avoid plagiarism and streamline the referencing process. After this workshop, you’ll have a clearer understanding of best practices and practical strategies you can use in your studies to produce original and meaningful work.
