Danielle Alvarez burst onto the Australian food scene in 2016 when she headed up the kitchen at Sydney's groundbreaking and award winning restaurant Fred's. Informed by her family background (Cuban/American) and the Californian kitchens she worked in (including Alice Water's Chez Panisse), Danielle's cooking is seasonal and ingredient driven... and delicious!We loved her best-selling first book Always Add Lemon and a copy is often on the kitchen bench. And we are already in love with her new book!In 2022 Danielle left Freds and turned to her home kitchen, where she has relished rediscovering home cooking flavours and how exceptional they can be – often better than in a restaurant – as well as the particular skills needed to coax them out, and now sharing them with her readers. Our address is 115-121 Victoria Street (next to A Shed)We recommend public transport.The 19, 20, 57 (Elizabeth St)and 55 (William &amp; Peel St) trams go past the Queen Victoria Market and run frequently. We are in the Free Tram Zone and are a short 50m walk from the Elizabeth St Queen Victoria Market stop and the Peel St Queen Victoria Market stop. Melbourne Central and Flagstaff railway stations are two blocks away.If driving, there is plenty of metered parking on Queen St near the corner of Victoria St. There is also limited parking on Victoria Street outside the store.Is my registration/ticket transferable?Yes - to another person - just have them present your ticket on the evening.What is the refund policy?Tickets are not refundable.Weather and Venue - please note.Our shop is a small intimate venue. If the weather is fine, we will be seated outside. Seating will be reasonably close, but will be limited. Drinks and food will be served. If inside, seating will be close.
