Rebuilding Our Roots: Sending Love to Australia
Event Information
About this Event
As an Australian-born coffee roaster, we are hosting a fundraiser to support the animal and community relief efforts in the wake of the devastating wildfires in our homeland. 100% of proceeds will go to WIRES Australian Wildlife Refuge Organization.
Tickets include passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, wine, beer, and live music. Mingle with Utah Jazz player Joe Ingles and his wife, Renae, a recently retired professional netball player for Australia. Participate in our silent auction, which will feature exciting offerings including a trip to Australia, coffee brewing equipment, gear signed by the Utah Jazz team, wine glasses, whiskey tastings, brewing equipment, court-side tickets for the Jazz, and private chef-catered meals.
The devastation the bushfires have caused will have long-term impacts on wildlife and communities as a result of the millions of acres of charred land and decimated homes. Millions of birds, reptiles and mammals, including Australia’s beloved koalas, have been killed. Wildlife that survived will face challenges with respect to term food, water, and habitat.
While Campos Coffee’s Australian roasting operations have fortunately been unaffected by the fires, many cafés in towns across Australia, including our partners, are severely impacted due to local infrastructure damage and reduced tourism during the busiest period of the year. From the beginning, our company has been committed to supporting our local communities. During these catastrophic fires, we’ve focused on harnessing our extensive network of café partners across Australia, as well as working through our flagship stores like in Salt Lake City, to provide support.
RSVP encouraged, limited tickets available at the door.
