About this event

Ready Set Design 2021

Now in its tenth year, Ready Set Design is a series of three events for year 11 & 12 secondary students who are interested in building a career in the design industry. Ready Set Design will enable you to learn about careers and tertiary programs in design, develop your folio, and practice your interview and presentation skills.

Workshop 3: Interview Bytes - 29th September

Are you thinking about applying for a design course at university? RMIT’s Ready Set Design workshop series can help! Interview Bytes is a session that will help you prepare for the application and interview process involved in applying for a design program.

The Interview Bytes workshop is offered only online this year and will run on Wednesday 29 September from 9:45am to 11:30am as a Teams Live Event. Please ensure you have Microsoft Teams set up in advance on your chosen device.

Although we hoped to welcome you to RMIT on campus, we hope that you will find the online experience helpful in your design/art journey.

This workshop will give you:

- Tips on what to expect during a design interview, the kinds of questions you may be asked, as well as some techniques for presenting your folio in an interview.

- The opportunity to hear from a panel of RMIT design staff and current students.

- The chance to ask our panel guests questions.

- The chance to see examples of successful design folios that have been submitted.

- A better idea of what it’s like to study design at RMIT!

What to bring to the Session: Just yourself, and your questions for the panel!

This event will feature RMIT design staff and students from areas including fashion, animation, landscape architecture, interior design and film/media.

In order to participate:

Please note: This program is available exclusively to SNAP students whose schools have been invited to participate. If you are unsure whether or not your school can participate, you can check with the SNAP team by emailing
