About the Organisation
Respect Victoria is Australia’s first agency dedicated to the primary prevention of all forms of family violence and violence against women. Established following the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence, our focus is on stopping violence before it starts by changing the norms, practices and structures that allow it to happen.
Respect Victoria is proudly partnering with ANROWS and VicHealth to raise awareness and deepen the impact of the NCAS findings on programming and policy across Victoria. We hope to see you there!
About the National Community Attitudes towards Violence against Women Survey (NCAS)
The National Community Attitudes towards Violence against Women Survey (NCAS) is a resource for anyone wanting to understand and prevent the prevalent problem of violence against women. Led by ANROWS, it is the longest running survey of its kind in the world. The NCAS tells us how people understand violence against women, their attitudes towards it, what influences their attitudes, and if there has been a change over time. It also gauges attitudes to gender equality and people’s preparedness to intervene when witnessing violence or its precursors.
