Many of us have heard of the R U Ok? campaign which encourages us to start conversations to help support each other and manage our everyday load. Many times, we feel ourselves being pulled in many different directions and one might feel that, in dentistry, in our workplace, environment and even within ourselves, we are starting to show (or feel) the strains of burnout.
Dr Tabitha Healey, our guest speaker, is a medical oncologist turned executive, leadership and life coach. Having juggled her family, medicine and running a large private practice, she says she can "understand what it feels like to be constantly 'on' and all things to others." She has spoken at the WCH and in several podcasts regarding the critical issues of burnout among medical practitioners and offers a very insightful way of dealing with our challenges in healthcare today.
