Qurbat - An Intimate Baithak
Experience the timeless intimacy of a classical baithak.
Qurbat (Urdu–Arabic origin) ; meaning nearness.
Beyond its literal meaning, Qurbat speaks to the feeling of being drawn close without force. It signifies a relationship built on presence, emotional intimacy, physical closeness and mutual understanding that is felt, not spoken.
Our second baithak takes shape within this spirit, guided by ghazals that explore love, longing and what it means to sit close.
LIMITED TICKETS
Baithaks were never meant to be crowded. Held at the Artful Yoga Gallery, this baithak is intentionally limited to 40 guests to preserve the intimacy and cultural authenticity of the tradition. Keeping the event intimate allows everyone to sit comfortably, connect deeply and experience Indian classical and Sufi music the way it was originally intended - up close.
SEATING
True to tradition, the baithak will feature floor seating. You're encouraged to get comfortable, sit close and become part of the circle. Chairs can be provided upon request.
NO ALCOHOL OR VAPING POLICY
To maintain the purity of the craft and preserve the quiet, mindful setting of a classical baithak, this event is strictly no alcohol, no smoking and no vaping. The focus of the evening is presence, listening and giving the artists they space they deserve.
MUSIC
We intentionally steer away from Bollywood to hold space for genuine Indian classical and Sufi music. The artists will guide the flow of the evening and any requests within this tradition may be shared toward the end.
