About this event

  • 1 hour

What’s it like to write stories with LGBTQ+ characters at their heart? How can diverse identities be best explored in ways that are honest, authentic and empowering? Why is it so important to do so?

Join us this Pride Month at Sutherland Library to hear these burning questions discussed and more by a panel of talented authors.

Steph Lentz, Will Kostakis and Nigel Featherstone will talk about the challenges, pitfalls, wins and significance of writing the LGBTQ+ experience in their fiction and non-fiction books. They will share each of their journeys to becoming successful writers telling the stories of queer characters.
