Queens of Dreambeyan: An Introduction to Portraiture
A mixed-media workshop for adults where you’ll create a playful, imaginative portrait inspired by your own idea of a “Queen.”
In this 2 hour workshop, particpants will explore symbolism, experiment with materials, and bring their unique vision to life in a fun, creative session. From historical queens to drag queens, the theme is completely open to interpretation. Materials provided, however participants are encouraged to bring along a photo of their Queen inspired subjects.
This workshop is facillitated by Yamile Tafur Rios. Yamile is a Colombian artist and educator based in Canberra, working across painting, drawing and mixed media. She is passionate about community driven projects, and has led a number of community arts programs, including the Multicultural Women's 'Chat and Make Art' out of Tuggeranong Arts Centre.
This workshop is designed for adults. It is a free event, however spaces are limited. Secure your spot by registering now.
If you have any access, or support requirements in order to participate fully, please let us know to ensure that we can arrange any reasonable adjustments. Contact: Cultural.Services@qprc.nsw.gov.au
