Event description

Description

About 4400 people in Australia are diagnosed with a head and neck cancer each year. This includes about 1370 people diagnosed with cancer in the mouth and tongue; 1000 with lip cancer; 890 with pharyngeal cancer; 590 with laryngeal cancer; 320 with salivary gland cancer; and 170 with nasal or paranasal sinus cancer.

Why are we putting this event?

This is a patient-centred Head & Neck cancer educational and networking event; the first of a series developed and organised by WCMICS and its partner hospitals. This is an interactive opportunity for patients, carers, and family members to meet, hear and share each other’s stories and experiences.

Join us for a facilitated Question and Answer session with key health professionals followed by time to talk and
share your experience with others.

Registration opens at 9:30 am; the session commences at 10am followed by light lunch (we cater for all dietary requirements).
