Event Details

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce Queensland Chapter, in partnership with Brisbane and Gold Coast Accueil, is delighted to invite you to a workshop to help you with your first steps into the Australian labour market. Held on Saturday 23 February, from 9am to 2pm, the event will be facilitated by Nick Pesh, National Director at Randstad and Elisabeth Noyel, Recruitment Consultant.


This will be an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the local labour market (employment type, remuneration structure, basic legal requirements), the trending industries and the customs of the Australian workplace, which is key to successfully find employment. Practical and interactive, it will also focus on how to prepare for your job search including: the importance of defining professional goals and objectives; how to present your experience; length and structure of the resume; the Dos and Don'ts; your LinkedIn profile; and cover letter.

 

A light lunch will be provided by our host and Patron Member, Randstad.

Nick Pesch, National Director, Randstad

 

Eighteen plus years of recruitment, sales and operational experience gained across a number of industry sectors within Australia and New Zealand. Nick joined Randstad in 2002 as the Adelaide Branch Manager of Randstad’s Industrial Staffing business and currently leads a team of 150 specialist consultants across Australia in the specialist divisions of Construction, Property & Engineering and Sales, Marketing, Digital & Communications.

 

 

Elisabeth Noyel, Recruitment Consultant

 

With over 15 years of experience in Human Resources acquired both in France and Australia, Elisabeth brings a deep understanding of the market place and considerable experience in generalist HR and recruitment. Arrived 7 years ago in Australia, Elisabeth has since worked for both recruitment agencies and global corporate organisations specialising in recruitment and talent acquisition. In addition to this and to fulfill her passion for supporting people in developing their career, Elisabeth works as a part-time consultant.

Replacements
Registrations for the event are not interchangeable but replacements are acceptable.
Please notify us as least 2 days prior if you intend on sending a replacement.
If the replacement is not a member, the non-member registration fee will apply.

Cancellations 
The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce must receive cancellations in writing 5 working days prior to the event.
No refund will be given for cancellations received within 5 working days of the event.
