QILT / SES Open-AAIR Discussion

AAIR SIG Conversation Series

This AAIR conversation will be an interactive session for AAIR members and their colleagues who are interested in engaging in an open-AAIR discussion on how to approach the QILT Student Experience Survey in times of the COVID19 pandemic. Lisa Bolton, Tash Vickers and Lauren Spencer will co-facilitate this session.

If you and/or your surveys colleagues are interested in participating in this open-AAIR discussion on QILT and SES, please register your interest and we will send you a link to participate in the session.

Here are some of the topics we hope to cover during our discussion:

  • How prepared is your institution to submit to HEIMS if HEPCAT opens on 30 June as currently scheduled?

  • If HEPCAT was able to re-open earlier in June, how soon would you be able to submit your file to HEIMS?

  • If we were to do template submissions, could your institution provide STAGE and Cumulative EFTSL? How much time would you need to pull this data together?

  • After feedback received at last week’s session and further conversations with ANUP, we have made some modifications to the COVID-19 items. What are your thoughts on these? Do you have any other feedback you’d like to share?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

We look forward to e-meeting you in this SIG conversation during COVID!

To advance insitutional effectiveness in tertiary education

AAIR is the professional association for institutional research practitioners in the tertiary education space in Australasia, and aims to raise the level of professional competence and practice in the fields of institutional research, planning and analysis.

'Institutional research' is viewed as a range of activities involving the collection, analysis and interpretation of information descriptive of an institution and its activities, including its students and staff, programs, management and operations, which in turn assists institutional leaders by informing their planning, decision making and policy formulation with the management of tertiary education, which leads to the improved understanding, planning and operation of these institutions.
