LISA DECKER is a Certified Practising Senior Speech Pathologist

Over the past 30 years Lisa has worked in a variety of settings and as a result has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the areas of assessment, diagnosis and intervention for communication difficulties that children, of all ages, experience – including articulation (speech), oral language (both comprehension and expression), fluency, voice and learning difficulties.

Lisa is well-known, highly experienced and has worked extensively for many years within the Western suburbs of Melbourne. Most recently she has worked as the Senior Speech Pathologist of the Catholic Education Office (CEO) and did so for the past 13 years. Prior to working for the CEO, she was the Director of the Wyndham Speech Pathology Clinic for 15 years. She has also worked in early intervention and community health.

Over that time Lisa has continued to develop her skills and knowledge with ongoing education and professional development. She is an experienced trainer of both parents, teachers, integration aides and others who require the skills to work effectively with children who have additional and specialist needs. Lisa is now an accredited provider of Hanen Parent Training Programs and Secret Agent Society.

Over the past 30 years the availability and access of expert speech pathology services has diminished within the western suburbs and Lisa is passionate about filling this void and providing a service that is not only accessible but also provides parents with the assurance that their children are gaining the best possible evidence based services available.
